Lilly previously paid cash for SiteOne Therapeutics, a South-San-Francisco company developing potent and selective non-opioid sodium channel inhibiting small molecules to pain and sensory hyperexcitability. SiteOne had announced positive Phase 1 results for its primary candidate STC-004 prior to the acquisition.
